About Us

The passion behind SIYA is a product of the lived experience, empathy and unassuming resolve of our founder, Sadie.

Sadie has always taken pleasure in assisting others. She immigrated to the United States as a teenager with her parents, and although they were the grown-ups, she became their navigator - in a new country, a new language, and a new system.

During college, she worked as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - not only to take care of herself, but because she was drawn to care. What started as a student job became her calling within no time. She worked on the floor of a group home, learning firsthand what it is to care for people not just with presence, but with purpose.

Her passion and leadership ultimately led her to the role of Program Director at Community Bridges, where she spent over 10 years building services and fighting for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

It was during her pregnancy that a new vision started taking shape - one grounded in deep care and long-term vision:

"What if I were able to create a home that embodies all that I have learned - but on my terms, with heart and integrity at the forefront?"

That was a plan. That plan was a mission. And that mission was SIYA - Supporting Independence For Your Aspiration.

What Sets SIYA Apart

We know there are other homes out there. But SIYA is not just a service - it's a promise.

- Person-Centered Living: Every resident has unique goals, interests, and promise. We listen, adapt, and create plans from their strengths - not mass-produced templates.

- Family-First Approach: You're not just a guardian. You're a valued partner. We communicate regularly, participate, and invite you - not just in emergencies, but as a part of daily life.

- Home, Not a Facility: From meal time to comforting routines, SIYA is welcoming, inclusive, and feels like home.

- Respect for Ability: We focus on growth, not limitation. Our staff is trained to support life skills, encourage confidence, and celebrate each step forward.

- Diversity, Dignity, and Compassion: We honor every background, story, and identity. Our staff lives our values and serves with kindness and reliability.
