The passion behind SIYA is a product of the lived experience, empathy and unassuming resolve of our founder Sadie.
During college, she worked as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) not only to take care of herself, but because she was drawn to care. What started as a student job became her calling within no time. She worked on the floor of a staffed residence, learning firsthand what it is to care for people not just with presence but with purpose.
Her dedication and leadership ultimately led her to the role of Program Manager at Community Bridges, where she spent over a decade building services, strengthening teams and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

After her time at Community Bridges, Sadie stepped into the role of Chief Operting Officer at Building Bridges Adult Services. There she led the development and oversight of an intensive treatment services (ITS) program, focusing on person centered planning, operational excellence and measurable outcomes. Under her leadership, services expanded thoughtfully, teams were strengthened and individuals achieved meaningful progress toward greater independence.
It was during her pregnancy that a new vision started taking shape, one grounded not only in professional experience but in motherhood, long-term thinking and the desire to build something deeply personal and sustainable.

"What if I were able to create a home that embodies all that I have learned but on my terms, with heart and integrity at the forefront?"
That was a plan. That plan was a mission. And that mission was SIYA - Supporting Independence For Your Aspiration.
